Funeral Director, Supervisor, Owner, Licensed Insurance Agent

Dustin was born and raised in Delaware County, PA, and has been dedicated to the funeral industry since he was 14 years old. He is a graduate of Sun Valley High School in Aston, PA, and earned his Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Shippensburg University, where he was a member of Pi Lambda Phi. He furthered his education at the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, graduating in 2000, and received his funeral director license in 2001.


With over 20 years of experience as a funeral director, Dustin began working for Mr. Robert Harner in 2005 and purchased the business from him in 2015. He has served as President of the Capital City Funeral Directors Association for three years and holds a PA life and fixed annuities insurance license.


When he's not working, Dustin enjoys relaxing at his property at the Jersey Shore and spending time with his daughter, Kayleigh.

Laney was born and raised in Carlisle, PA, and graduated from Carlisle High School in 2020. After beginning her academic journey at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology, she transferred to the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, where she graduated in 2025. She is cremation certified with Cremation Association of North America (CANA).

Laney has been working in the funeral industry since she turned 18, demonstrating her commitment to serving others and supporting families during difficult times. Outside of her professional pursuits, she enjoys reading, cooking, and spending quality time with her two beloved cats, Hendrix and Ozzy.

Ken was born and raised in Venango, PA, and is a proud graduate of Cambridge Springs High School (1984). He furthered his education at the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, earning his degree in 1991, and has been a licensed funeral director since 1994. With over 30 years of experience in funeral services, Ken is dedicated to providing compassionate care and support to families during difficult times.


In addition to his career, Ken has a rich history of community involvement. He spent time abroad in Morocco in 1988 as a Meadville Area Community Ambassador and joined the Grange in 1981. His leadership within the Grange community has been recognized nationally, earning him the title of PA State Granger of the Year in 2001. Currently, he serves as the PA State Grange Gatekeeper and is a member of Valley Grange of Lewisberry in York County #1360.


Ken met his wife, Joyce, through their shared involvement in the Grange, and they married in 2019. His commitment to community, tradition, and compassionate service continues to guide both his personal and professional life.

Born and raised in Central Pennsylvania, Sheridan graduated from Central Dauphin High School in 2012 and went on to serve in the United States Marine Corps as a Tagalog linguist for five years. During her two deployments in the Philippines, she witnessed their culture's way of funeralization and remembrance, which piqued her interest in mortuary studies and funerary culture around the world.


After her separation from active duty in 2017, she was accepted into Northampton Community College's Mortuary Science program and began classes in 2018. Sheridan graduated in the spring of 2020 and began her internship with Myers-Baker Funeral Home in December of the same year. Now a licensed director, Sheridan continues to develop her knowledge to better serve families and is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Religious and Philosophical Studies.


In her free time, Sheridan enjoys spending time with her siblings, training for the Highland Games, and baking her way through Paul Hollywood's cookbooks. She also does her best to raise awareness and advocate for veterans' mental health aid by supporting, coordinating, and attending fundraising events for Mission 22.

Nick Melara is our pre-need advisor. He is a licensed insurance agent appointed with Funeral Directors Life and National Guardian Life.


He grew up in upstate New York, where he graduated from SUNY Oswego in 2000 with a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, and from Le Moyne College in 2002 with a Master's Degree in Education. In addition to working as an insurance agent since 2003, he has also worked as an 8th-grade math teacher. 


Nick enjoys spending time with his 2 young children and is an avid Bowler and Baseball fan.
