Obituary

Violet H. Belknap (affectionately known as Mo), 94, of Camp Hill, passed away peacefully on Sunday January 25, 2015 at Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home, Carlisle.
Born on March 31, 1920 in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Elsie Baughman Hiler, and she was the widow of her beloved husband Frank Belknap, Jr. She was a graduate of John Harris High School, Harrisburg, Class of 1938 where she lettered in badminton, field hockey, and tennis.
Violet was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Camp Hill and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was retired from LB Smith Construction Equipment Division where she was an Administrative Assistant. She worked for decades as a poll worker in Camp Hill. After retirement she enjoyed traveling with family and friends, and was involved with the Camp Hill Women's Club and the Bible Study group at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Violet is survived by her two children; her son Frank Belknap and wife Barbara, of Manchester, CT; and her daughter, Leslie Schaefer and husband Chuck, of Camp Hill, and her three grandchildren, Frank Belknap IV, Alicia Belknap, and Carly Schaefer.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday January 31, 2015 at the Myers-Harner Funeral Home, 1903 Market St., Camp Hill, with the Rev. Jack Horner officiating. A visitation with the family will be held on Saturday in the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will be held following the service in Camp Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Camp Hill or Central Pennsylvania Food Bank.
