Vincent Ward, 59, of Harrisburg, PA, passed away unexpectedly, on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill, PA.
Vincent was born December 16, 1957 in Paterson, NJ, to Barbara (McDonald) Ward and the late Curlie Ward.
After graduating high school Vincent went on to take some college classes. Prior to his retirement he was a CNA in the medical field.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by three siblings, Curtis Ward, Gerald Ward, and Juanita Ward.
In addition to his mother he is survived by five children, Angela Ward and Juanita Ward, both of Raleigh, NC, and Brandon Ward and Christian Ward, and Komesha Harris, all of Paterson, NJ. Brothers Myron Ward and Darin Ward, and sisters, Darlene Bullock, and Andrea Ward, and former wife Kim Ward. He is also survived by a host of cousins, nieces and nephews
Vincent was devoted to his faith and a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness. Vincent will always be remembered as a very outgoing gentleman, who knew how to dress with class. He was a very studious person who enjoyed reading books, and one book that never left his side was his Bible. In his younger years, he was extremely athletic. He was well known on his track team for his endurance. Also, he loved his family and his mother's home cooked meals.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Sunday, October 15th, 2017 in the Myers-Harner Funeral Home, 1903 Market St., Camp Hill, PA. A viewing will be held in the funeral home on Sunday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
