Terry L. Pechart, 69, of Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at UPMC West Shore Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Born January 30th, 1954, in Harrisburg PA, he was the son of the late Edward and Erla (Simmons) Pechart. He married Joanne (Nudge) Pechart; she survives.
Terry graduated from Cedar Cliff High School in 1973. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving during the Vietnam Era. For over 35 years, he was a Material Prep Handler for Appleton Papers, and later a Truck Driver for 21 years for U.S. Express.
In addition to his wife, Joanne Pechart, he is survived by his daughter Tanya Hossler and husband Troy, a son Jason Pechart and his companion Amanda Keim, three grandchildren Samantha (Lower) Keim, Carter Pechart, and Dessa Hossler, four brothers Gary Pechart and his wife Kay of Camp Hill, PA, David Pechart and his wife Diane of Camp Hill, PA, Rodney Pechart and his wife Nancy of Florida, Jeff Pechart and his wife Sherree of Mechanicsburg, PA, and three sisters Linda Bottoms, Theresa Heasley, and Carol Rogers, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister, Allen Pechart, Bobby Simmons, Donald Pechart, Billy Pechart, and Sheila Pechart.
Terry loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He was always there when someone needed help. Terry enjoyed traveling with his wife, especially visiting lighthouses, waterfalls and hiking. He loved going to flea markets and working on projects in his garage. Terry will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers a donation may be given in Terry's name to Toys for Tots which he was passionate about giving to every year.
Graveside services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, located in Annville, PA 17003.
