Stephen Craig Martin, 72, of Camp hill, PA, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Hershey Medical Center following a sudden accident.

Born August 27, 1951, in Lancaster, PA, he was the son of Frances (Brenner) Martin and the late Robert Rainey Martin. He was married to Kimberly (Tillman) Martin.

Steve attended high school at Upper Moreland High School and received his bachelor's degree from Elizabethtown College. After graduation, he spent his career in the financial services sector in technology. After his official retirement, he dabbled in various business adventures and commercial real estate. Twenty years ago, he became a motorcycle safety instructor for the State of PA. Steve was a lifelong teacher, whether teaching students to ride safely, his children to invest or his wife the name of plants in their gardens.

Steve was a devoted husband, father, and Pappy and was extremely involved with his family. Anyone who knows Steve, knows that after his family, breakfast was his second passion. He loved diners, talking and hanging out and honestly, did not meet too many people nor diners that he didn't like. He was an avid motorcyclist and has been since he bought his first bike in his teens. He enjoyed motorcycle trips with his friends and his father-in-law, Larry. He loved landscaping, plants and taking care of his yard and flower beds.

Steve was known for his engaging and humorous personality. Never a shy guy, he could and did talk to anyone and everyone. He loved nothing more than a good teasing, especially his children and grandchildren. Steve was a lifelong lover of music and could name just about any song and artist within the first few notes of a song. He played many sports throughout his life; baseball, football, basketball, soccer, tennis, racketball, golf and was famous for knowing obscure rules of various sports.

He is survived by his wife, Kimberly (Kim) Martin, his four children Nikki Gianfagna (Peter) of Enola, PA, Mitchell Washel (Jenn) of Reinholds, PA, Derek Washel (Jess) of York, PA, and Rachel Martin of Camp Hill, PA, seven grandchildren Sawyer Gianfagna, Scarlett Gianfagna, Ollie Gianfagna, Lennon Washel, Edison Washel, Isla Washel and Marlie Washel.

Stephen was preceded in death by his father and two brothers Douglas Martin and Thomas Martin.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, April 5, 2024, in the Myers-Baker Funeral Home, 1903 Market Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011. A visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. until the time of the memorial service.
