Shirley A. Polney, 80, of Camp Hill, PA, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Manor Care, Camp Hill, PA, after a battle with cancer.
Born on March 12, 1938 in Williamstown, PA, Shirley was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Fazekas) Katcher.
Shirley had a career as a machine operator in a dress factory. She was an active member of the Church of the Good Shepard prior to becoming ill. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, but most importantly spending time with her two dogs Angel first, and then Star.
Shirley is survived by a sister, Dolores Mattis, of Camp Hill, PA; two nephews, Bob and David Mattis; and two nieces Angela Matthews and Julie Donahoe.
In addition to her parents Shirley was preceded in death by her Bother-in-law, John Mattis.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 3435 Trindle Road, Camp Hill, PA, 17011, with Father Benedict Faneye as Celebrant. A viewing will be held in the church on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the mass. Burial will follow the mass at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, Williamstown, PA. Myers-Harner Funeral & Cremation Services, Camp Hill, has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Church of the Good Shepherd in Shirley's honor.
