Obituary

Shirley A. McKee, 86, of Camp Hill passed away peacefully on Monday, July 15, 2019 at Geisinger Holy Spirit Hospital. Born on August 11, 1932 in Pittsburgh, Shirley was the daughter of the late Eugene and Catherine Ward and was preceded in death by twin great-granddaughters. The beloved wife of John J. McKee for 64 years, Shirley is also survived by three sons Mike (Connie), Tom (Mary), and Jim (Cheryle), and three daughters Kathy, Beth, and Terry Fitzgerald (John), as well as 13 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, sister Mary Kay Walsh of Pittsburgh, PA and many nieces and nephews. She attended Pittsburgh Hospital School of Nursing, worked in various positions as a Registered Nurse, and retired from the Commonwealth of PA. She was an active member of the local community and Church of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Camp Hill. Shirley enjoyed spending time with family, cooking, doing needlework and playing dominoes with her S&B group, and (most of all) conversing endlessly over the phone with family and friends. Services will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Church of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 3435 E. Trindle Road, Camp Hill, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association, CMT, at cmtausa.org or PO Box 105, Glenolden, PA 19036; Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
