Ruth B. Mione, 84, of Mechanicsburg, PA passed away Friday, October 9, 2020 at Bethany Village, Mechanicsburg, PA.
Born April 28, 1936in Harrisburg, PA she is the daughter of the late Alan E. and Ruth V. (Dixon) Brown.
Ruth attended Williamstown Jr-Sr Joint High School, after which she graduated from HACC and Elizabethtown Colleges where she earned a BA degree. Ruth worked for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as part of the Governor's staff for 40 years. She also worked for Bowmans Department Store, H&R Block and was part owner of Perfect Party's catering. Ruth was a member of Mt. Calvary Episcopal Church, Camp Hill, she was an avid seamstress and had sewn 8 wedding dresses. She was a member of the Camp Hill Women's sewing club and was a founding and lifetime member of the PA State Employee's Blood Bank.
Ruth is survived by her step-daughter Francine Mione, of Berlin, PA, her brother Thomas E. Brown, of Mechanicsburg, PA, her sister Ann M. Swenson, of Mechanicsburg, PA, her step-granddaughter Nichole G. Mione of Buffalo, NY, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Mario S. Mione and her brother Graham A. Brown.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions all services will be private and held at the convenience of the family, with burial in Rolling Green Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Mt. Calvary Episcopal Church in Ruth's Honor.
