Rose Ann Ryan, 84, of Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away, surrounded by her family, on Thursday September 5, 2019 at UPMC Pinnacle West Shore Hospital, Mechanicsburg.
Born in Altoona, PA, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas Villani and the late Jane (DeLeo) Francis.
Rose was a graduate of Altoona Catholic High School and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Parish in Mechanicsburg. She was a retired Computer Programmer Analyst. She had been employed with FIMSO for 30 years and most recently with the US Naval Support Activity Base in Mechanicsburg. Rose loved to watch cooking shows, Hallmark movies and QVC. She enjoyed spending time with her family and caring for her two cats, Tom and Jerry.
Rose is survived by her husband, Robert "Mike" Ryan, of Mechanicsburg; two sons, James W. Clark and his wife Tracey, of Mechanicsburg, and Douglas A. Clark and his wife Kandy, of Dillsburg, PA; one daughter, Lisa Byers and her husband Steve, of Hummelstown, PA; one brother, Thomas Villani, of Altoona, PA; two step-daughters Joyce McCarthy and her husband Terry, of Selinsgrove, PA, and MaryEllen Appleby, of Mechanicsburg; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Thomas Francis
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday September 18, 2019 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA, with Rev. Charles Snyder as celebrant. All friends and family are invited to attend the graveside service and should meet at the cemetery office on Wednesday at 12:45 PM. Myers-Harner Funeral & Cremation Services, Camp Hill, PA, has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
