Rose M. Meager, 101, of Camp Hill, passed away on Wednesday September 3, 2014 at Manor Care Health Services, Camp Hill. Born on February 21, 1913 in Schweinfurt Germany she was daughter of the late Theodore Fleckenstein and Madeline Kiesel. Rose arrived to this country at Ellis Island with her aunts when she was only 17. She worked in her family's flower shop in Mechanicsburg, Shenandoah Floral and resided in Wellsville with her son and husband for 35 years. Rose returned to this area in 1996 to be close to her family. She was an avid reader, enjoyed fine dining and shopping, and was at excellent cook. She loved living at the Essex House these last eight years where she had many friends and family. She was preceded in death by her first husband John Langenbucker, whom she was with for 50 years, and her second husband, William Meager, whom she was with for 10 years. She was also preceded in death by her son, John Langenbucker and her three sisters and a brother. Rose is survived by her sister and brother in law Gerta and Werner Erdmann, of Germany, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
