Robert Oron Zellner, 91, of Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at his home.

Born on April 29, 1932, in Morristown, NJ, he was the son of the late John and Emily (Beebe) Zellner.

Bob was a graduate of Mansfield High School. He was a veteran of the US Airforce. Bob was retired from IBM where he worked as an engineer for over 36 years. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran in Camp Hill. Bob would often volunteer his services as the sound board tech during church services. He enjoyed photography, playing on his computer, and reading. He was well known as an excellent storyteller.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Shirley (Frantz) Zellner, of Mechanicsburg, three daughters; Debby Z. Oberbeck and her husband Mike, of Denver, CO, Sue J. Wert and her husband Don, of Mechanicsburg, PA, and Linda Z. Gorter and her boyfriend Rob Hummelbaugh, of Lewisberry, PA, seven grandchildren; Jessi and Dan Oberbeck, Chris and Dave Wert, Brad and Stacey Gorter, and Katie Collier, five great-grandchildren; Camden, Pepper, Skylynn, Willie, and Norah.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Judy VanRiper, a brother, John Zellner, and a sister-in-law, Christine Zellner.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2000 Chestnut St., Camp Hill, PA, with Pastor Jack Horner officiating. A visitation with Bob's family will be held in the church on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial with military honors will be held immediately following the service, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
