Robert Wolfe, 75 of Dillsburg passed away Monday May 19, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. Bob was born in Adams Co. to the late Millard and Dorothy Griest Wolfe.
Bob was an Army Veteran. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, eluding the game commission for 63 years. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, bus trips, racing, camping and spending time with family and butchering with his sons. He was a member of the Mount Olivet United Church of Christ, VFW Post 6771, Dillsburg Legion Post 26, F.O.E. 1299 of Carlisle. Bob was a lifetime member of the York Springs and Franklintown Fire Companies, Mechanicsburg Club, Latimore Valley Eastern Museum of Motor Racing and was named Grand marshall in 2013 at Latimore Convention. Bob was also the former mayor of Franklintown. Bob was retired from the Myers-Harner Funeral Home, Camp Hill.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Wolfe; two daughters, Jennifer Barrick and husband Ricky and Molly Smith; three sons, Bobby, Scott, and Andrew Wolfe and wife Kim; step children Katrina, and Bobby Zies and wife Michelle; grandchildren, Nichole Shultz and husband Mike, Caitlin Barrick, Bubba Smith, Chayse Strohecker, Hannah and Ashlyn Wolfe, Dylan Hempfing; great granddaughter Mackenzie Shultz, Step granddaughter, Emily Arter, and Step great granddaughter, Naliyah; sisters, Ruth Spangler, Joy Lenig, Dawn Schott and Karen Brodbeck; brothers, Wayne, Ronald, Carl, Colin and Keith Wolfe; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by brothers Phillip and Allen Wolfe.
Funeral services will be held Friday May 23, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at his church Lake Meade Road, East Berlin 17316. Burial, with full military honors will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Viewing will be Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the Myers-Harner Funeral Home, Camp Hill and at the church Friday morning from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.
