Robert Eurfryn Jones, 91, of Mechanicsburg, PA, and formerly of Camp Hill, PA, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at UPMC West Shore Hospital, Mechanicsburg, PA.

Born on March 23, 1935, in Harrisburg, PA, he was the son of the late Eurfryn and Margie (Moore) Jones.

Bob was a US Army veteran who served in Germany with the 589th Engineer and Supply Platoon. After graduating from Bucknell University, he went on to complete his master's degree at Central Michigan University. Bob was a retired Biology and Earth Space Science teacher with the Cumberland Valley School District. He was a longtime member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Camp Hill. He enjoyed being outdoors, camping, hiking, and bird watching. He was also a boy scout and a scout leader for the former Boy Scouts of America.

Bob is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Bennett) Jones, of Mechanicsburg, PA, a son, Russell Jones, of Carlisle, PA, a daughter, Rebecca Jones, of Carlisle, PA, and two nephews, Kevin King and his wife Dorothy, and Jeff King.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Margie King, Gwen Jones, and a brother in-law, Clifford King.

All funeral services will be private, and burial with military honors will be held at the convenience of the family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA. Myers-Baker Funeral & Cremation Services, Camp Hill, has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
