Richard "Dicky" L. Gottshall, 81, formerly of Camp Hill, passed away on Sunday, April 30, at Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle, Pa. He was born in Harrisburg on December 21, 1935, son of the late Russell F. Gottshall and Beatrice B. (Gordon) Gottshall. He was also preceded in death by his siblings Doris J. Gottshall, Russell F. Gottshall, Jr, William G. Gottshall, and Robert E. Gottshall. He attended William Penn High School, Harrisburg; retired from Food Fair Grocery Store and AMP, Inc.; was a social member of the Lower Allen VFW, the Enola Sportsmen Club and an avid Boston Celtics fan. Prior to his death, Richard wanted to thank everyone at Heritage Harbor, Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, for their tireless dedication this past year and making it feel like home to him. A tribute to Richard's life will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday May 4, 2017 at the Myers-Harner Funeral Home, 1903 Market St., Camp Hill, PA with the Vicar Micki Kautz officiating. A viewing will be held in the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 PM until the time of service. A private burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg, PA.
