Ramsey "Buddy" Lusk was welcomed home by our Lord on January 11, 2014 surrounded by his family who loved him. Buddy was born on September 18, 1937 in Spanishburg, WV to the late Fred Lusk and Ruby Denton.
He was predeceased by his son Brian in December 2013.
He is survived by his devoted wife and best friend Judy; his children, Michael Lusk, Becky Mills, and Julianne Corley. His beloved grandchildren, Jarrett, Joshua, Shannon, Stephanie, Emily, Colton, Gabriel, and Natalie will greatly miss him. He is also survived by a special sister-in-law, Lisa Ayers and her children Danielle, Rebukah, Joshua and Judith.
As a Navy Veteran he served aboard the Air Craft Carriers; USS Forrestal and the USS Intrepid, docked in the New York Harbor.
Buddy moved to the Harrisburg area from Richmond, VA in the early 1980's with McLean Trucking and he retired from Consolidated Freight. He was a member of Teamsters local 776.
After retirement, bass fishing was his favorite pastime and he took many fishing trips to Missouri and Canada. His Missouri fishing friends will miss him greatly as well his brother-in-law Forrest, who fished with him in Canada.
Buddy also enjoyed watching the Washington Redskins and the New Orleans Saints. A longtime NASCAR fan, Buddy followed Carl Edwards.
Buddy loved the Lord and was an avid Bible student and listened to the Bible on tape on a daily basis. He worshiped and was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Dover, PA.
A celebration of Buddy's life will be at 11:00 A.M. today from his church, with Dr. Sterling Walsh, Jr. officiating and with special remembrances from Pastor Dan Dellosso. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Tuesday at the church. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
