Ralph G. Stimeling, of Camp Hill, left to be with the Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 25, 2018. Surrounded by his loving family, he passed at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. Born April 4, 1943 in McAlisterville, PA, Ralph was a loving Husband, Father, Brother, friend and a faithful servant of the Lord. As a long standing member of West Shore Baptist Church, Ralph enjoyed discussing his faith and always placed it in the Lord.
Ralph is survived by his loving wife, Karen L. (Johnson) Stimeling, his daughter Tina G. (Stimeling) Deiterich and her husband Calvin, brother Fred and his wife Colleen, sister Ruth Leister, sister-in-law Janet Hunnell and several nephews and nieces, including Cameron and wife Maria, Daniel Hunnell II and his wife Jeri, Daron Hunnell and Heather Tidwell. Preceding him in death, his parents George and Margaret Stimeling, brother Alton "Sonny" Graybill and sister Florane Stake.
Throughout his life, Ralph found various ways to serve others: A veteran of the US Air Force, serving 1963 – 1967, including a year spent in Alaska; a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University; an accountant for the Commonwealth for over 30 years, and a man who was kind, gentle and loving. He loved to cheer on his Nittany Lions, rooting for the Philadelphia Phillies, golf, deer hunting with his brother Fred, enjoyed challenging his mind with KenKen and Sudoku puzzles, be humble in his faith and challenge himself to grow. A graduate of Church Leadership Institute, Ralph continued growing his faith by taking classes at the Evangelical Seminary.
A memorial service is scheduled for Monday, December 31, 2018 at West Shore Baptist Church Camp Hill, PA. Visitation to be held from 12:00-1:00 pm with the service at 1:00 pm, conducted by Rev. Kelly Legg. A luncheon will follow the service at the Church. A private interment will be held at Fort Indiantown GAP. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the West Shore Baptist Church, 2023 Market Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
