Preziosa Dorothy Sebastian, 86, of Camp Hill, PA, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024, at her home in Camp Hill.
Born on March 12, 1938, in New York City, NY, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Angela (Circio) Patriarca, and she was the widow of John Sebastian. She was the 6th of 8 children and the first one born in the USA after her family immigrated from Italy.
Preziosa was a graduate of St. Joseph's University, Philadelphia, PA. She was an elementary school teacher at Holy Name Jesus School in Linglestown, PA for 25 years. She taught 3rd grade there from 1971-1973 and kindergarten from 1983-2006 when she retired and was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd. Preziosa was very involved with her Catholic faith, and she served as a CCD teacher and in the Harrisburg Diocesan Choir.
She is survived by two sons, John Michael Sebastian and Mark Sebastian, a daughter, Maria Bruno and her husband Jeremy Bruno, a sister, Anna Hofmann and her husband Ken, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Raymond, Antonio, Joseph, Cosmo, and Damiano Patriarca, and a sister, Antoinette DeBellis.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the Church of the Good Shepherd, 3435 E Trindle Rd, Camp Hill, PA 17011, with Father Neil Sullivan officiating. A viewing will be held from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday, September 20th in the Myers-Baker Funeral Home, 1903 Market St., Camp Hill, PA, and also on Saturday in the church from 10:00 AM until the time of mass. Interment will be following the Mass in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Mechanicsburg, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Good Shepherd.
