Phyllis J. Meneeley, 87, of Camp Hill, passed away on Thursday September
24, 2015 at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
Born February 19,1928 in Donaldson, PA., she was the daughter of
Hanford J. and Grace E. (Boyer) Long, and the widow of Marvin L.
Meneeley.
She was a graduate of Frailey Township High School in Schuylkill County. Phyllis
was a retired Budget Analyist at the Naval Inventory Control Point in
Mechanicsburg. Phyllis also worked at Fort Indiantown Gap as a
secretary. She was active member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Mechanicsburg , volunteering as an
egg maker, quilter, attending bible study, and a member of the ELCW
Phyllis is Past Matron of the Order
of the Eastern Star, Trio #544, Mechanicsburg. She was also a member of
Old Bellaire #375, Carlisle. Phyllis was also a life long Phillies Phan.
Phyllis is survived by a son Marvin L. Meneeley, Jr. and his wife Kelly,
of King of Prussia, a daughter, Susan Potter and her husband Ken, of Camp Hill. Two
brothers, Gerald and Arthur Long, both of Pine Grove, three
grandchildren; Kenneth Potter, II, and his wife Jessica, Patrick Potter,
and Devon Meneeley, and one great grandson, Benjamin Potter.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday October 10,
2015 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 130 Nittany Dr., Mechanicsburg, with
Pastor Rochelle Lewis officiating. A visitation with the family will be
held in the church on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the
service. A service conducted by the Order of the Eastern Star will be
held in the church at 10:45 A.M. Burial will be held at the convenience
of the family. Myers-Harner Funeral & Cremation Services, 1903 Market
St., Camp Hill, is handling funeral arrangements.
