Peter Sanden, 78, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Thursday May 4, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital, Camp Hill.
Born on November 20, 1938 in Warren, PA, he was the son of the late Boyd and Hazel Sanden. Peter received his Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Mansfield University. He spent his career as a school teacher at Camp Hill High School, and in retirement continued to teach throughout the community. Peter was a longtime member of the Camp Hill Presbyterian Church. He loved to sing, most recently with the Keystone Capital Chorus barbershop group.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ethel Sanden, of Mechanicsburg; two sons, Jeff Sanden and his wife Mary, of Camp Hill; Tim Sanden and his wife Angie, of Lewisberry; one daughter, Jenny Sanden Heck and her partner Carl Johnston, of Shermansdale; one brother, Marty Sanden, of Dunkirk, NY; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday May 13, 2017 at the Camp Hill United Methodist Church, 417 S. 22nd St, Camp Hill, PA. A visitation with Peter's family will be held in the church on Saturday from noon until the time of the service. Burial will be private and handled at the convenience of the family in the Camp Hill Cemetery Columbarium.
