We are here today to celebrate the life of Peggy, who was born on May 3, 1941, to her loving parents Harold and Mable.

Peggy passed away on August 20, 2024, surrounded by her daughter JoJo and son-in-law Kevin who was her best friend.

Peggy is married to Brian Sackett. Family was everything to Peggy. Peggy was the best mother to her children, her son Roy and her daughter-in-law Leslie, her daughter JoJo and her son-in-law Kevin, her son Eddie and her daughter-in-law Ann and her honorary daughter Wanda. Peggy was a loving and doting grandmother to her grandchildren and their spouses… Andy and his wife Sandy, Rikki and her husband Tylor, Emily and her husband Kayle, Desiree, and Hollywood and his fiancé Hannah. Peggy was a great grandmother to seven… Grayson, Kayden, Kelton, Hudson, Oakley, Landon, and the seventh grandchild due in November. Peggy adored them and played a huge role in their lives.

Peggy attended John Harris High School. Later in life, Peggy and her husband Joe became owners of Little Richards Restaurant where they became staples in the community of Mechanicsburg. They looked upon their business as a ministry. They often fed those in need, including many homeless people. They made lifelong friends and memories during those years. Peggy was so proud when her son Eddie and his wife Ann continued the family legacy of opening a Little Richards restaurant in Alaska.

Peggy will be remembered most for her kind heart. Peggy was always the first to show up and the last to leave. Peggy never turned away anyone who was in need. Peggy taught us all to never turn a blind eye to other people's pain, to show up when it is hard. Thanksgiving at her home often included the homeless, someone in need, and someone who just needed to be in her words "loved up." Peggy's kind heart extended to all of God's creatures. Over the years Peggy rescued all types of creatures such as groundhogs, possums, and squirrels. Peggy so loved dogs… especially her beloved dog Sugar.

Peggy had a powerful unwavering love for her family. Peggy was a person of great faith. Her faith was a guiding force in her life. She truly was an example of Christlike love. She would share whatever she had with those who needed it. Peggy absolutely loved butterflies. She loved that butterflies transformed into a new creature. At the end, Peggy's body was broken but now she flies free just like the butterflies she so loved. Peggy is with her savior and reunited with those that she loved and proceeded her in death… her husbands Joe and Ben with whom she raised her children and grandchildren, her parents, her siblings… Myrtle, Jackie, Butch, and Kenneth and Peggy's daughter Tammy.

On this day, let us remember how Peggy lived her life and may you find comfort in the memories that you shared with her and acknowledge that she is home. Grieve her and then become the things that you loved the most about her. That is her legacy. Peggy will be forever loved and missed. She is forever a part of every life she touched.

Funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday, August 26, 2024, in the Myers-Baker Funeral Home, 1903 Market Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011. A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until the time of the service on Monday, August 26, 2024, in the funeral home. Burial will be private in the St. John's Cemetery, Mechanicsburg, PA
