Paul Kennedy's Obituary
Paul B. Kennedy, 76, of Camp Hill, passed away on Thursday December 1, 2016 at his home.
Born on July 7, 1940 in Germantown, PA, he was the son of the late, John and Marie (Hoage) Kennedy, and he was the widower of Elizabeth "Pete" C. (Gilmore) Kennedy.
Paul graduated from Niagara University with a Bachelor's degree, was a 1st lieutenant in the US Army and served overseas in Korea. He was a retired salesman who had worked for many companies over the years. After he retired, Paul was a constant fixture and valuable contributor at his son's law firm in Harrisburg. Paul cherished the many friends he made at the firm during his over a decade of service. He provided valuable insight, along with a sharp wit, that could brighten the day and perhaps show you the way. Paul was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, he loved to watch sporting events and was a NY Giants fan.
He is survived by two sons, John N. Kennedy and his wife Laurie, of Camp Hill, and Paul W. Kennedy and his wife Mary Beth, of Charlotte, NC; two daughters, Kim M. Navarro and her husband Ray, of Lansdale, and Michele Kennedy, of Camp Hill; a sister, Carol Dawe; seven grandchildren, Zachary, Christopher, Ryan, Sean, Jack, Kelsey, and Kaitlyn; two nephews, Peter and Joey; and two nieces, Laura, Terri and her husband Anthony.
In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by a brother, Monsignor J. Nevin Kennedy, and a sister, Marie Adele Kennedy.
A viewing will be held on Monday December 5, 2015 from 2:00-4:00 P.M. and also from 6:00-8:00 P.M. in the Myers-Harner Funeral Home, 1903 Market St., Camp Hill. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday December 6th in Church of the Good Shepherd, 3435 E. Trindle Rd., Camp Hill, with the Rev. Philip Burger as Celebrant. Burial with military honors will follow the mass in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Mechanicsburg. John and Laurie will be hosting a luncheon after the burial services to celebrate the life and times of one Paul B. Kennedy. All are invited to come, celebrate Paul's life, and share some good stories and memories. Lunch and libations (of course) will be provided.
