Paul "Chubb" Lee Hawbecker, 91, of Camp Hill, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 25, 2023, at his home in Camp Hill.
Born on September 1, 1931, in Camp Hill, he was the son of the late Ralph and Hazel Mae (Deckman) Hawbecker.
Paul was a graduate of Camp Hill High School where he was an avid athlete as a pitcher on the baseball team and running back on the football team. He went on to receive his bachelor's degree in pharmaceutical sciences from Temple University. Paul was a retired licensed pharmacist who later worked as a Vice President for ALCO Health Services. He was a past president of The Pennsylvania Pharmaceutical Association, a lifetime member of the Camp Hill United Methodist Church and member of the Camp Hill Historical Society and American Legion in Mechanicsburg. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Gloria M. (Bleyer) Hawbecker, of Camp Hill, two sons, Stephen M. Hawbecker and his wife Karol of Wormleysburg, and S. Andrew Hawbecker and his wife Jane, of Mechanicsburg, PA, three sisters, Patti Dickson, of Camp Hill, Kathryn Harlacher, of Palymra, and Pauline Barron, of Camp Hill, two grandchildren, Maxwell S. Hawbecker, of Mechanicsburg, and Megan R. Hawbecker, of Lemoyne, PA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Glen "Dutch" Hawbecker, Clyde Hawbecker, and Ralph Hawbecker.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 pm, on Thursday August 31st in Rolling Green Cemetery, 1811 Carlisle Rd., Camp Hill, PA with Rev. Jack Grove officiating.
