Paul Donald Knackstedt, 83, of Camp Hill, passed away on Wednesday October 21, 2015 at the Carolyn Croxton Slane Residence in Harrisburg, PA.
Born on November 17, 1931 in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Paul and Catherine (Morrett) Knackstedt and he was the widower of Wanda Joy (Criswell) Knackstedt.
He was a US Army Veteran who served during the Korean Conflict and then spent another seven years in the US Army Reserve. Don was a retired Sales Manager with Pitney Bowes. He attended the Camp Hill Presbyterian Church and loved spending time with his family, friends and his beloved K9 crew.
He is survived by two sons, Scott Knackstedt and his Fiancé Angie Bressler, her daughter Azlyn Magill of Camp Hill and Craig Knackstedt of Camp Hill. Three daughters, Sharon Ault of Mechanicsburg, Cathy Reed of Etters and Christine Fortino and her husband Larry of Spring Hill, Florida. Five grandchildren, Keith Gruber and wife Sylvia Gruber, Andy Gruber, Emily Reed, Alyson Reed and Maura Knackstedt. Three great grandchildren, Noah Gruber, Maggie Gruber and Madison Knackstedt. Lastly, his adoring Rottweiler Magnum, who was always by his side.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday October 26, 2015 in the Myers-Harner Funeral Home, 1903 Market St., Camp Hill. A visitation will be held in the funeral home on Monday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Burial with Military Honors will be held following the service at St. John's Cemetery, Mechanicsburg. www.myers-harner.com
