Patrick Joseph Mitchell, 61, of Camp Hill, passed away on Sunday July 2, 2017. Pat was born on March 10, 1956 in Lake Charles, LA, the son of the late Craig A. and Joann (Cropper) Mitchell. Pat was a graduate of La Grange High School in Lake Charles, LA. Following High School Pat joined the US Marine Corps. He also received his Bachelor's degree in Education from McNeese State University, Lake Charles, LA. After completing his military service, he met and married his wife of 37 years, Deidra (Snavley) Mitchell, of Camp Hill. Pat was employed by Spectrum Energy where he worked in Communications. He loved spending time outdoors, hunting, golfing, marathon running, and boating. He was an excellent Bar-B-Q cook, and enjoyed preparing Cajun food. Pat loved to ride his motorcycle and was a member of the American Legion and NRA. In addition to his wife, Pat is survived by his three sons, Patrick Ryan Mitchell and his wife Angela, of Benton, KT; Matthew Shane Mitchell, of Murfreesboro, TN; and Neil Anthony Mitchell, of Nashville, TN, two brothers, Michael Mitchell, of Paducah, KT; and Phillip Mitchell, of Austin, TX, two sisters, Pamela Stephen, of Tomball, TX; Annie M. Carter, of Garland, TX; and several Aunts and Uncles. A viewing and celebration of Pat's life will be held from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. on Saturday July 8, 2017 in the Myers-Harner Funeral Home, 1903 Market St., Camp Hill. Following the viewing and celebration of life, there will be full military honors, conducted at the funeral home, by the Cumberland County Honor guard Burial will be private and handled at the convenience of the family.
