Patricia Sonia Keener, age 85, of Mechanicsburg died peacefully on December 8, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 20th,1939 in Enola, Pennsylvania. Pat was a beloved friend, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who left a legacy of love.

Pat was a graduate of East Pennsboro High School. As a teenager, she was an avid dancer. She started her career as a model and later worked for Bell Telephone and the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Pat was an exceptional cook who regularly made recipes from Bon Appetit, The Gourmet Cookbook and many others. A true animal lover, she was affectionally referred to as "The Animal Whisperer" for her ability to bond with creatures of all kinds. Throughout her life, Pat was a seasoned traveler and snowbird who enjoyed winters in Florida.

Pat will be missed deeply by her family and friends. She will always be remembered for her smile and for being a beautiful person both inside and out. Services will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at 10:00 AM in the Myers-Baker Funeral Home, 1903 Market Street Camp Hill, PA 17011 with a visitation starting at 9:00 AM until time of service in the funeral home. A graveside service will be in the Rolling Green Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area at 7790 Grayson Road, Harrisburg, PA 17111. The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to her aids Anita and Gloria, the staff of Columbia Cottage and Hospice for All Seasons for their care and support.
