Obituary

Mildred (Mille) Boeshore, 92, died Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Bethany Village, where she had lived for twelve years. She was born on March 29, 1924 on a farm near New Bloomfield to Charles E. and Alice (Ferguson) Sheaffer. She was the youngest and last surviving of their twelve children. She attended a one-room school on Middle Ridge where her oldest brother Graffius was her teacher. She graduated from New Bloomfield High School in 1941 and was proud to say she walked the four miles to and from school every day.
In 1945, her first husband, who was a paratrooper in the 17th Airborne Division, was killed in Germany. She then worked at Middletown Air Depot, where she met Ralph Boeshore after he had served in the Air Force in England. They were married for sixty-seven years until his death in 2014.
Mildred was an avid bowler until the age of eighty-nine and a collector of any jewelry or collectible with a turtle on it. She was a sixty-two-year member of Grace United Methodist Church in Lemoyne.
She was a devoted homemaker and mother of daughter Deborah Robertson (husband Gerald) and son Douglas Boeshore (wife Amy). She had three grandsons: Christopher Holtry (wife Dr. Julie Reznicek); Mark and Brian Boeshore; and one great-grandson, Noah Holtry.
A memorial service will be held at Grace United Methodist Church, 309 Herman Avenue, Lemoyne, PA, at 12:15 P.M. on Thursday November 17th, 2016. A visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 11:30 A.M. until the time of the service. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Mille's honor to Grace United Methodist Church, 309 Herman Avenue, Lemoyne PA 17043.
