Michael S. Wood, 25, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at his home.
Michael was born on June 1, 1989 in Harrisburg. He was a 2009 graduate of Cedar Cliff High School. He graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport in December 2014 with a Bachelor's of Science in Residential Construction Technology and Management along with Associate's Degrees of Applied Science in Building Construction Technology and in Masonry. He completed an internship with Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Harrisburg Area and remained an active volunteer with Habitat. Michael was a powerlifter, a very active member at Gold's Gym in Camp Hill, and was a past Team Captain of the Ju-Jitsu Team at Penn College. He had a great love for his three cats.
He is survived by his mother, M. Sandra Wood, of Mechanicsburg, formerly of Camp Hill; his sister, Caitlin L. Wood (Scott Baillie), of New York, NY; his aunt, Linda Reid (Chuck), of Camp Hill; his uncle, John A. Wood (Wendy), of Lancaster; and three cousins, Tracy Trump, of Lancaster; Jeffrey Wood (Tonya), of Woodstock, GA; Adam Wood, of Lititz; and 11 second cousins.
Funeral services will be private and burial will be handled at the convenience of the family in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill.
