Pat Young, 90, of Gardners, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 3, 2024. She was born on August 15, 1934, in Harrisburg, PA, to the late William and Sara (Farrell) Reardon. She was preceded in death by her brothers Joseph and William Reardon, several cousins, and a daughter-in-law, Loyette E. Derrickson.

She married Robert G. Derrickson, Sr. and had four children Susan Bretz (Randall Boyanowski), Robert G. Derrickson, Jr. (Wendy Straub), Alan Derrickson (Sandra) and Ronald Derrickson. She later was married to David Young until his passing in September 2022. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Jason, Robert III, Jeremy, Joshua, Marisa, Klair, and Mikey, as well as 13 great grandchildren.

Pat was a graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School. She loved to love on people, always caring for the neighbors' kids plus taking care of her own family. On weekends you could find Pat and Dave "out exploring," walking with nature, or traveling up and down the East Coast. Pat worked for Bell Telephone, Alfab, Penn Warehousing, IBM and Book of the Month Club.

Pat's family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff of Hospice of Central PA and Bayada Home Health Care for the care and support they provided their mother.

Funeral services will be private, and interment will be held in Middletown Cemetery at the convenience of her family. Myers-Baker Funeral & Cremation Services, Camp Hill, has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the local animal shelters in her memory. She will be dearly missed by those who loved her for her tenacity, wit, charm, and grace.
