Mary "Beth" E. Beatty, 90, of Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away on Monday March 16, 2015 at Bethany Village, Mechanicsburg. She was a lifelong resident of East Liverpool until her move to Pennsylvania in 2004 to be closer to her daughter. Born on September 11, 1924 in East Liverpool, OH, she was the daughter of the late Harlan and Esther (Wright) Finley and she was the widow of David E. "Pete" Beatty. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Elizabeth "Betsy" Beatty and her brother, Robert Finley. Beth graduated from East Liverpool High school and the Southside Hospital nursing school. As a registered nurse, she worked in a psychiatric hospital in Michigan. Beth devoted many years as a volunteer for the East Liverpool Hospital Auxiliary. She was an avid golfer and an active member of the East Liverpool Country Club for many years. She was a member of St. Ann's Church in East Liverpool and St. Joseph's Parish, Mechanicsburg. Beth is survived by her daughter, Nancy Kocher and her husband Richard, of Camp Hill, PA; three grandchildren, Ann Schoeller, of Atlantic Highlands, NJ; David Bayne, of Montreal, Canada; Scott Bayne, of Baltimore, MD, and two great grandchildren. All funeral services will be private and burial will be handled at the convenience of the family in Riverview Cemetery, E. Liverpool, OH.
