Marjorie Heyler Braun, 93, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on October 16 at Messiah Village. She was born April 3, 1930, in Jamaica Queens, New York and was the daughter of the late Edmund and Marjorie Grace Heyler. She was the wife of Donald R Braun, who preceded her in death in 2013.

Marjorie attended Adelphi University before raising her family. She completed her education, graduating from Penn State in 1969 with a BS in education and later completed her Masters. She worked at Ben Franklin Elementary School in the Harrisburg School District.

Marjorie was a member of the West Shore Country Club for 40 years and also Plantation Bay Country Club in Florida for 16 years. In addition to spending time with her family she enjoyed reading, painting, traveling, golf, Bridge and playing the piano.

Marjorie is survived by three children Gary Braun of Enola, Donna Kauffman of Columbia, and Chris Braun, married to Amy Parrish Braun, of Mechanicsburg, eight grandchildren, Eric, Todd, Steph, Ryan, Ashley, Jason, Micala, and Owen, and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Marjorie was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Rodgers, wife of Dave Rodgers, and a sister Delores Succa.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, November 19th at 2pm at Myers-Baker Funeral Home, 1903 Market St, Camp Hill, 17011. There will be a time to meet with family from 1:30-2pm before the service.
