Obituary

Margaret Morrill Scott, 99, Camp Hill, passed away Thursday March 23, 2017, at home. Born, July 10, 1917, in Seattle, WA, she was the proud daughter of the late G. Crawford and Doris (Bronson) Morrill. She was also preceded in death by her husband Capt. James Scott, II, USN Ret., her sister, Mary Spens, of Bellevue, WA, and her grandson, Brett Scott, of Seattle, WA. She is survived by her four sons, James (Debbie) of Seattle, WA, Daniel (Jane), with whom she lived, Crawford (Mary) of Amelia Island, FL, and Stuart (Bernadette) of Lewisberry, PA, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mar was a graduate of the University of Washington and a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. She toured Europe between the World Wars, her favorite stop being Florence, Italy. She was a Red Cross volunteer during WWII. Margaret was a member of Mount Calvary Episcopal Church and an avid volunteer of their Opportunity Shop. She was a member of Philanthropic Educational Organization whose members are committed to helping women pursue higher education, The Junior League of Harrisburg and the Penn Cumberland Garden Club. Margaret enjoyed spending time with her family; she was loved and will be dearly missed. Right now she is saying her favorite "See ya later alligator". A Memorial Service will be held to honor Margaret's life at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Mt. Calvary Episcopal Church, 125 N. 25th Street, Camp Hill, PA. Memorial contributions may be made to UCP Central PA, 55 Utley Dr., Camp Hill PA 17011, Mount Calvary Episcopal Church, 125 N. 25th St, Camp Hill, PA 17011, or any charity of your choice.
