Margaret (Peggy) Ann (Jones) Emory, 77, of Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2019 in ManorCare Camp Hill, PA, surrounded by Family and Friends.
Born February 10, 1942 in West Chester, PA, she is the daughter of the late John Nelson and Muzetta (Joyce) Jones.
Margaret (Peggy) attended Empire Beauty School and became a beautician, where she met her loving husband. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, the American Businesswomen's Society, and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She also was a Cub and Boy Scout den leader. She was retired from Phillips Office Products. Margaret's (Peggy) door to her home was open to many children and adults over the years, if you needed help or just to have a cup of tea, she was there with her arms wide open.
Margaret (Peggy) is survived by her husband of 52 years, Walter S. (Sonny) Emory, of Mechanicsburg; a daughter, Denise Emory Dailey and her husband William, of Camp Hill; two sons, David Emory and his fiancée Shirley Daugherty of Camp Hill, and Nelson Emory and wife Cheryl of Central Square, NY, son in law William Coulson, of new Cumberland; as well as her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Margaret also leaves behind her fur-baby Daisey.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by two daughters, Molly Emory Coulson, and Sara Elizabeth Emory; and two sisters Muzetta J. Peck and Joyce Felter.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Monday, December 30, 2019 at the Myers-Harner Funeral Home, 1903 Market Street, Camp Hill, PA, with Pastor John Brock officiating. A viewing will be held in the Funeral Home Monday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
