Marcia Acker Maurer 80, formally of Camp Hill, passed on to her Savior on December 12, 2016 at Golden Living. Marcia had been a patient there for several years suffering from Alzheimer's. Marcia grew up in Camp Hill and was a 1954 graduate of Camp Hill High School. Soon after graduation, she married Samuel Maurer who also was a graduate of Camp Hill High School, class of 1952. He was employed at Food Fair/Pantry Pride for 25 years when they took on a dream of Sam's to own a bar, the White Hill Café. They worked together there for 24 years until the passing of Sam in 2001.
Marcia also was a seamstress. She made drapes, clothing, and even reupholstered furniture. She also did many crafts. Marcia is survived by her daughter Susan Artevich(John), her son Sam Maurer II, a sister Joan Kichman and a sister-in-law Linda Smitley. Two grandchildren John Artevich III and Kimberly Taylor(Chris) and two great grandchildren Aiden and Kamryn Taylor.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Camp Hill.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area Inc. 7790 Grayson Road, Harrisburg, PA 17111.
