Lillian Rae Ginanni, 88, of New Cumberland, widow of Lester W. Ginanni, passed away on Thursday November 3, 2016 at her home. Born on September 1, 1928 in Looxahoma, MS, she was the daughter of the late Robert Orr and Myrtle (Atkins) Langston. Lillian was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and will be sorely missed. She started from a very humble background, as one of ten children whose parents were sharecroppers, where she and her siblings picked cotton, to a telephone operator, to a mother of five, to a sandwich and sub maker at Godfather's Deli, to an owner of the Blue Mountain Hotel and Restaurant in Harrisburg, to an employee and then President of Shaull Equipment & Supply. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Parish in Mechanicsburg. Lillian is survived by a son, Lester W. Ginanni, Jr., of New Cumberland; 2 daughters, Jean Smith, of Shiremanstown, and Nancy Ginanni, of Camp Hill; 2 brothers, William T. Langston, of Mississippi, and Chester Langston, of Mississippi; a sister, Esther Howell, of Mississippi. 14 grandchildren, Tony Frank, Joanne Brady, Nicole Yeager, Leslie Yeager, Robert Smith, Heather Smith, Julia Priar, Andrea Boyer, Lillian Manges, Jaclyn Lyons, Lester Ginanni, III, Theresa Andreoli, Eva Ginanni, and Lydia Ginanni. 18 ½ great grandchildren, Mackenzie Brady, Alexandria Brady, Breon Coke, Marcus Yeager, Lawson Priar, Madeline Priar, Jeremy Priar, Samantha Priar, Daniel Boyer, III, Alana Boyer, Juilan Boyer, Christian Boyer, Andrew Manges, Cohen Manges, Layla Manges, Alina Lyons, Keegan Frank, Taylor Frank, and baby Leo Lyons due in January. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Mary L. Ginanni-Yeager and Joanne Ginanni-Frank; 4 brothers, Robert O. Langston, Clifford D. Langston, George T. Langston and James A. Langston; 2 sisters, Margaret Peyton, and Rosa Jean Patterson, and 2 grandchildren, George Yeager, Jr., and Angela Ginanni A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Thursday November 10, 2016, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 400 E. Simpson St., Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, with Rev. Augustine Joseph as Celebrant. A viewing will be held in the church Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment will be held following the mass in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Mechanicsburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her church. All flowers should be delivered to St. Joseph Church on Thursday by 9:00 A.M.
