Laurie E. Shepler, 61, of Camp Hill, died peacefully at home on May 23, 2026. Born on August 16, 1964, in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of Patricia (Hardy) Swinehart of Harrisburg and the late Ronald E. Shepler of Halifax. Laurie shared more than 32 years of marriage—and a lifetime of friendship—with her beloved husband, Joseph Sierko.

Laurie's life was marked by curiosity, dedication, and a deep sense of purpose. A 1982 graduate of Susquehanna Township High School and a 1986 graduate of Penn State, she went on to earn her Juris Doctor from the Dickinson School of Law in 1992. She devoted over 31 years to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, serving with distinction. Her career included work as a judicial clerk for Justices Madaline Palladino and Sandra Schultz Newman; as chief counsel for the Fish and Boat Commission; and later with the Office of General Counsel at the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. She approached every role with integrity, insight, and a steady commitment to public service.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Laurie embraced life with warmth and enthusiasm. She loved to travel and explore new places, found joy in tending her garden, and brought energy to every Zumba class she joined. She championed causes she believed in and treasured time spent with family and friends. In her final days, she reflected with gratitude on a life well lived and found comfort in the hope of reunion with those who went before her.

Laurie is survived by her husband and her mother; her stepmother, Miriam (Kaufman) Shepler of Halifax; her brothers, R. Scott Shepler (Debra) and Rick E. Shepler, both of Harrisburg; her stepbrothers, Duane E. Frantz (Heather) and Jerry M. Frantz (Denise), both of Halifax; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will carry her memory forward.

A celebration of Laurie's life will be held at a later date.
