Kae B. Holmes, 96, of Harrisburg, PA formerly of Camp Hill passed away Thursday, September 3, 2020 at the Homeland Center.
Born February 24, 1924 in Bluffton, Ohio she is the daughter of the late Martin and Bernice (Bogart) Baumgartner. In addition to her parents, Kae was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years Joseph R. Holmes who passed away in 1992. Kae was also preceded in death by her sister Betty Freeman, and grandson Mark Holmes.
Kae attended high school in Scarsdale, New York and went on to obtain her bachelor's degree in Education from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1945. She was a Home Economics teacher for the Camp Hill School district for 25 years prior to her retirement. Kae was a member of Camp Hill Presbyterian Church and the Camp Hill Woman's Club. In her free time, she was an avid seamstress and enjoyed making dresses for her granddaughters. She also loved to entertain.
Kae is survived by her sons Richard M. Holmes and wife Diane, of Sunapee, New Hampshire, and Daniel R. Holmes and wife Beverly, of Niceville, FL; and her daughter Lynda H. Conway, of Harrisburg, PA. Kae is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Services for Kae will be held Saturday, November 7th, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at Camp Hill Presbyterian Church, 101 N. 23rd Street, Camp Hill with Rev. Donald Potter officiating.
