John Terrance "Terry" Boylan, Jr. 78, passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 in Harrisburg Hospital after a brief illness. Born April 9, 1940 in Philadelphia, the son of the late John and Margaret (Breen) Boylan.
Surviving is his loving wife of 56 years, Sandra "Sandy" Conway Boylan; his son, Sean Terrance Boylan and his wife, Stephanie Magaro Boylan of Raleigh, NC and he was known as Pappap to his grandchildren, "TJ" and Emmarose. He is also survived by his sister, Margaret Boylan Bellwoar. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph of Tulsa, OK.
Terry attended Villanova University and was a proud U.S. Marine Veteran. He was employed by Ingersoll-Rand Company, Rand Air Division, for 30 years-very successfully. He was Past President of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Michael Collins Division, and a member of the Camp Hill Fire Company. His passion was life, golf, skiing, hunting and traveling. He enjoyed planning new adventures with Sandy to satisfy their wanderlust.
Terry was most proud of his son, Sean, and his family. He also fulfilled a dream of discovering his Irish heritage and found the Boylan homestead in Cootehill, Ireland and subsequently received his dual citizenship to the two countries he loved the most.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 2, 2019 in the Church of the Good Shepherd, 3435 E. Trindle Rd., Camp Hill, PA 17011, with Fr. William Forrey as celebrant. A viewing will be held from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday March 1 in the Myers-Harner Funeral Home, 1903 Market St., Camp Hill, PA. An additional viewing will be held in the Church on Saturday, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Mass. Interment with Military Honors will take place at Indiantown Gap at a later date.
