Joan Frances (Murphy) Boles, 77, of Enola, PA, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at UPMC- West Shore Hospital.

She was born November 23, 1947 in Washinton, DC, the daughter of the late John and Rita (Trainor) Murphy. She married William B. Boles. He preceded her in death on April 18, 2024.

Joan graduated from the Bellevue High School, in Bellevue, Nebraska. Joan enjoyed time reading, playing solitaire, and an occasional trip to the casino to gamble. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.

She was a member of the Good Shepherd Church in Camp Hill, PA.

She is survived by her daughter; Deanna Boles of Enola, PA, her son William A. Boles of Enola, PA, three grandchildren; Nathaniel, Jaren and Sierra, and one great-granddaughter Briley, two sisters; Rita Ann Murphy of California, Barbara Likovich of Washington, and her brother John Murphy and his wife Rosa of California. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 A. M. on Thursday, September 11, 2025, in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 1313 South York Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
