Jane F. Sauerwine, 90, of Camp Hill, passed away on Thursday March 17, 2016 at the Church of God Home, Carlisle.
Born on July 28, 1925 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Jennie (Crane) Austen and she was the widow of Joseph H. Sauerwine, Jr.
She was retired from Irving's Shoe Store. She was a member of the Camp Hill Church of God, a former Sunday school teacher, member of the Churches of God Women's Ministry, the church council, and she played in a pinochle club for 60 years. She was a volunteer at the Church of God Home for 23 years. Jane's most important thing in life was caring for her family.
She is survived by two daughters, JoAnn S. Brunner and her husband Gary, of Mechanicsburg, Jennifer R. Gummo and her husband John, of Lewisberry, a son, James H. Sauerwine and his wife, Arlene of Tarpon Springs, FL. Eight grandchildren, Gary Jr., Joseph, and Michael Brunner, Robert and Thomas Sauerwine, Jordan, Joseph and Joshua Gummo and twelve great-grandchildren with one on the way.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Denise Brunner and a brother, Charles H. Austen, Jr.
A celebration of Jane's life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday March 25, 2016 at the Camp Hill Church of God, 123 N. 21st St., Camp Hill, PA 17011. A viewing will be held on Thursday March 24th from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. in the Myers-Harner Funeral Home, 1903 Market St., Camp Hill and also on Friday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. A graveside service will be held on Friday at 2:30 P.M. in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill.
