James C. Imgrund 85, of Mechanicsburg and formerly of Camp Hill died Friday, September 5, 2014 at Bridges at Bent Creek.
He was born on May 27, 1929 in Bedford, Pa., to the late Clarence and Bernadette Leonard Imgrund. He was a member of The Church of the Good Shepherd. James received his associate's degree from HACC. He worked for Bell Telephone and retired from the insurance industry as a broker.
He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict where he was a boxer.
He was predeceased by his wife: Helen Hillegass Imgrund; two brothers: Joseph and Francis Imgrund; and his sister: Margaret Wilson.
James is survived by three sons: Mark Imgrund of McMurray, Pa., David Imgrund, Carlisle, and Joseph Imgrund, Wellsville; three daughters: Jaime Fry, Boiling Springs, Ann Busser, Newville, and Jennifer Edmondson, East Berlin; 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, September 11, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. from The Church of the Good Shepherd, Camp Hill with Father Paul Helwig Celebrate. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Mechanicsburg. Viewing will be Wednesday evening from 6:00 P.M.- 8:00 P.M. at the Myers-Harner Funeral Home with the Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 P.M. and at the church Thursday morning from 10:30 until time of service.
