Obituary

James T. Albert, 78, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Monday November 18, 2013 at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill. Born on November 23, 1934 in Rochester, NY, he was the son of the late Charles and Catherine (Kallies) Albert. He was a graduate of Le Roy High School, Le Roy, NY. He went on to receive his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rochester, NY. As Alumni he assisted the University of Rochester by interviewing potential students. He was retired from Gannett Flemming, Inc., Camp Hill. He was a devout catholic and member of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Camp Hill. He was also an avid golfer. In the past he had served on various boards, including the Bethesda Mission, Penn State University–Harrisburg Campus, and the Arts Center School, Mechanicsburg. James is survived by his wife of thirty six years, Delphine (Maciejewski) Albert, of Mechanicsburg; three sons, Dr. James Albert, Jr. and his wife Amy, of Buffalo, NY; Jeffrey Albert and his wife Anita, of Buffalo, NY; and Dr. Richard Albert and his wife Aruni of Houston, TX; six grandchildren, Declan, Avikar, Aidan, Alexander, Ravi, and James, III; a brother, Joseph Albert and his wife Pellie, of California; a sister in-law, Mary Albert, of Rochester, NY; Beverly, mother of his three sons, James, Jeffrey, and Richard; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ted Albert. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday November 21, 2013 in the Church of the Good Shepherd, 3435 Trindle Rd., Camp Hill, with the Rev. Paul C. Helwig as celebrant. A viewing will be held in the church on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the mass. Burial will be held in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery, Abbottstown. Myers-Harner Funeral Home, 1903 Market St., Camp Hill, is handling funeral arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Francis Assisi Soup Kitchen, 1459 Zarker St., Harrisburg, PA 17104.
