Imelda R. Lawrence, 88, of Mechanicsburg, PA passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at UPMC West Shore Hospital. She was born February 21, 1936, to the late John P. and Anna A. (Ciglar) Rusnock in Hazelton, PA. She was raised in Kelayres, PA and graduated from Hazelton High School. She married George J. Lawrence on December 27, 1958, in St. Mary of Assumption Church. They would have celebrated their 66th anniversary this year.

Imelda worked as a laboratory technician and also worked in banking. She was an active member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Camp Hill. She enjoyed being a member of the Prayer Shawl Ministry and Arimathean's and loved to attend Bible Study. She also enjoyed bridge and knitting.

She is survived by her husband, George J. Lawrence of Mechanicsburg; daughter, Ann I. Lawrence of Bethlehem; brother, John A. Rusnock (Jaqueline) of Reading; sister-in-law, Elisa P. Rusnock of Whitehall; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Imelda was preceded in death by her brother, Louis J. Rusnock.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, December 28, 2024, in Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 3435 E. Trindle Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011, with Rev. Neil S. Sullivan, as Celebrant. A viewing will be held from 9 AM until the time of the mass in church. Burial will be in St. Mary of the Assumption Cemetery, McAdoo, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Myers-Baker Funeral Home, 1903 Market Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
