Hubert D. Chin, 87, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Tuesday June 28, 2016. Born on August 9, 1928 in Gardner, MA, he was the son of the late Chin Dong Sen and Mark King. He was the last of his family including brothers Herbert, Robert, Albert, and Gilbert, sisters Helen, Marjorie, and Dorothy. Hubert was a native-born Chinese American and a veteran of the US Army who served at the end of WWII. He was a retired Civil Engineer with the Federal Aviation Administration, PA Bureau of Rail Freight, Ports and Waterways, Michael Baker, Inc., and Bethlehem Steel. He and his wife Alice were longtime members of the West Shore Baptist Church. Hubert was a Mason at Masonic Lodge 781. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Alice Chin, of Mechanicsburg; Daughter, Coleen Chin LeQuire and her husband Stan, of Ardmore, PA; two sons, Chris Chin and his wife Carrie, of Atlanta, GA; and Tim and Yvette Chin, of Clearwater, FL. plus three grandchildren; Rachel LeQuire, of Washington, DC; Caitlin LeQuire, of Providence, RI, and Emily of, Atlanta, GA.. A memorial service will be held on August 20, 2016 at 10:30 am in the West Shore Baptist Church, 2025 Market St., Camp Hill, PA 17011, with Pastor Gary Bruland officiating. Burial with full military honors will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Friday August 19, 2016 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pennsylvania. Memorial Contributions may be made to the West Shore Baptist Church.
