Howard "Moe" J. Barron, 93, of Camp Hill, passed away on Sunday May 14, 2017 at the Carolyn Croxton Slane Residence, Harrisburg.
Born on January 22, 1924 he was the son of the late William and Mary (Mikolajczak) Barron, Sr.
Moe was a US Navy Veteran. He was retired from L.B. Smith, Inc. where he was a bookkeeper. Prior to L.B. Smith Moe worked on the railroad at NY Central Railroad in Toledo, OH. He was an excellent bowler and was a past manager of the Lemoyne Bowling Alley. Moe was a longtime member of the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church in Mechanicsburg. Every year he looked forward to participating in the Church's Easter egg sales. He was a 33 year member of the American Legion Post 0043.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Freda Pauline (Hawbecker) Barron, of Camp Hill; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Moe was preceded in death by his step-father, William Klap; an infant daughter, Judith Ann and two brothers, Franklin and William Barron.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday May 18, 2017 in Rolling Green Cemetery, 1811 Carlisle Rd., Camp Hill, with the Rev. Kevin E. Hughes officiating. Myers-Harner Funeral & Cremation Services, Camp Hill, has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
