Harry Boas Dissinger, 88, passed away on December 10, 2013 at Holy Spirit Hospital.

He was born to the late Henry and Catharine Dissinger, March 5, 1925, in Harrisburg, Pa. Having graduated from Valley Forge Military Academy in 1943, Harry joined the U.S. Army core of engineers during WWII and served three tours of duty in the Pacific Theatre in New Guinea, the Phillipines and Yokahama, Japan. After serving his county he earned an Associate's Degree in engineering from Temple University in 1948. He married Irene "Renee" Kelly in 1949, and they lived together in Harrisburg, Pa., before relocating to Camp Hill in 1963.
Harry was the President and CEO of H.B. Dissinger, Inc., a family-owned mechanical contracting business which served the greater Harrisburg area with distinction for over 50 years.
Harry was a deacon and elder of the Camp Hill Presbyterian Church, a 32nd degree mason, and a member of the West Shore Country Club. An avid golfer and reader of historical biographies, he also loved to travel, and took several memorable trips to Italy and the British Isles with his wife and friends. A loving husband, generous father, doting grandfather, and faithful friend, Harry will be greatly missed by all.
Family was always Harry's top priority. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years and his two sons, Harry B. Dissinger, Jr. of Somerset, NJ; Donald H. Dissinger and his wife Lisa, of Ardmore, PA; and his daughter, Patricia Dissinger Swift and her husband Brian, of Henderson, KY. He is also is survived by his two much-loved and talented grandchildren: Peter Good Dissinger and Nicole Grace Swift.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 in the Chapel of Peace, located on the grounds of Rolling Green Cemetery, 1811 Carlisle Rd., Camp Hill. A memorial service will be held following the interment at 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday at Camp Hill Presbyterian Church, 101 N. 23rd St., Camp Hill, with the Rev. Dr. David A. Roquemore officiating. A visitation with the family will be held in the church from 2:00 P.M until the time of the service, with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorial contributions be made in Harry name to either Camp Hill Presbyterian Church or Bethany Village Care Assurance Foundation.
