Golde' Audrey Marville, was born in Barbados, West Indies on October 1, 1918. She peacefully entered into rest at her daughter's home in Camp Hill, PA on Christmas Day. She was a teacher as a young adult in Barbados, and a member of St. Lucy Anglican Church where she played the organ for their services. It was in Barbados that she met and married the love of her life, Seymour DaCosta Fitzpatrick. They were married in Barbados and moved to Philadelphia, PA when Seymour became a member of the United States Air Force and Golde' became a full time homemaker. "Jimmy" as his friends called him, predeceased Golde' after 58 years of marriage. She was predeceased by her mother and father, four brothers and sister. Golde' became an American citizen and through this union, three children, Ronald, Audrey and Leon, were born. She became a member of St. Simon the Cyrenian Episcopal Church for more than seventy years. Her love of music was seen and heard when she performed as organist and as a member of the senior choir. She joined the Horticultural Society as her love for flowers and plants led her to continually enhance the beauty of Saint Simon's garden. She spent countless hours there caring for pruning, mulching and planting, and as the Block Captain of her street, did the same. She was a member of the Acolyte Sponsors and was a chairperson of the Food Program where she was available to help with food dispersal. She was Den mother to many young boys in the Boy Scouts. She believed in strong family ties and commitments and a strong educational background. Her extended family includes many friends and family who call her Mom, Mom Mom, Aunt Doll and Aunt Golde'. On October 15, 1995, Golde' was named "Woman of the Year" of Saint Simon the Cyrenian Church. Her faith in God was apparent whenever she was called upon for guidance, friendship and help to her family, the church community, her neighborhood and friends. She is survived by her three children, Ronald Fitzpatrick, Audrey Smith and Leon Fitzpatrick, five grandchildren, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Arlyn Smith Miller, Kahlil Fitzpatrick, Trent Tolbert and Tanya Tolbert Brown, thirteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, daughters in law Vernae Fitzpatrick and Bertha Fitzpatrick, nieces, nephews and additional relatives. We will miss and mourn her, but celebrate her 100 years of life with pride, gladness, fond memories and love.
