Nov 9, 1967 — Sep 21, 2024
Gigi Joanne Bowman, 56, born November 9, 1967, in Harrisburg, PA, passed away on September 21, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. She was the daughter of the late Charlie Carlton Bowman of Mount Airy, NC and Joanne Catherine (Drake) Bowman of Harrisburg, PA.
Gigi is survived by her two daughters, the eldest, Chardan L. Huston of Camp Hill, PA, and Ebonee Joy Huston of Paris, France; her granddaughter, Jolie Elle Huston of Camp Hill, PA; her brothers, Theodore and David Heinz of Virginia, Charles S. Bowman of Maryland, and Jeremy A. Bowman of St. Louis, MO; her sister, Gimel S. Jackson of Harrisburg, PA; as well as a multitude of stepchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom she loved dearly.
Gigi graduated from John Harris High School in Harrisburg, PA.
She lived her life enveloped within the aesthetics, exploring all genres and styles of art, music, and entertainment. She cultivated an eclectic style that was unique and evident to everyone she encountered. Her passions included classic films, cowboy westerns, reading, traveling, and animals—especially horses. She was known for her conversation-piece jewelry, which always sparked interest from others. Above all, she loved to cook; this was her art, which she shared freely and with all her heart. Gigi cherished connecting with others and found lifelong friends wherever her work or life took her.
The viewing will take place from 11 AM until the time of the service. The funeral service will be held at 12 PM on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at the Myers-Baker Funeral Home, located at 1903 Market Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
