George W. Shingara, Jr., 51, of Harrisburg, passed away on Friday April 17, 2015 at his home. Born on October 24, 1963 in Sunbury, he was the son of George W. and Janet D. (Williams) Shingara. George grew up in Wormleysburg and attended school in the West Shore School District. He was a member of the Linglestown Fireman's Club. George was well loved by his many longtime friends and relatives. He will be greatly missed. In addition to his parents he is survived by his brother, Wade Shingara, of East Hanover, and his nephew Vance Shingara. He was preceded in death by his wife, the late Lisa Shingara. George's family will receive friends for a visitation from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Sunday April 26, 2015 at the Myers-Harner Funeral Home, 1903 Market St., Camp Hill. Burial will be private and handled at the convenience of the family.
