Freda Pauline
Barron
Apr 28, 1925 — Oct 26, 2025
Freda Pauline Barron, 100, of Camp Hill, PA, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Brookdale Senior Living, Harrisburg, PA. Born on April 28, 1925, in Camp Hill, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Hazel Mae (Deckman) Hawbecker, Sr., and she was the widow of Howard "Moe" Joseph Barron.
Pauline was a graduate of Camp Hill High School. She was a retired bookkeeper who made sure that her accounts always came out to the penny. Over the years she worked as a bookkeeper for multiple car dealerships, Harkinson's, Sauman's, Sunderland, and Forbes Chevrolet. Pauline was a simple woman, who did not show emotion, but loved others thru her acts of giving and kindness. She always needed to be busy. She was a true go-getter and doer. She would weed while walking down her niece's front driveway on the way to the car. She was a great cook and loved baking for her family. She was known for her pumpkin pie and red beets. Pauline was a member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church in Mechanicsburg, where she volunteered her time making Easter eggs, joining the 11 ladies that made cakes for Meals on Wheels, she played in two different card clubs, and was in multiple bowling leagues. She loved watching "Tiger" play golf and crocheting scarves for the aides at Brookdale.
Pauline is survived by her two sisters, Kathryn "Abe" Mae Harlacher, of Palmyra, PA, and Patricia L. Dickson, of Camp Hill, PA, eight nephews, six nieces, 24 great nieces and nephews, and numerous great-great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband Moe, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Judith Ann Barron, four brothers, Ralph Hawbecker, Jr., Glen E. Hawbecker, Clyde R. Hawbecker, and Paul D. Hawbecker, and three nieces.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 30, 2025, in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum, located on the grounds of Rolling Green Cemetery, 1811 Carlisle Rd., Camp Hill, PA 17011. Myers-Baker Funeral & Cremation Services, Camp Hill, has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
