Frances E. Chambers, 90, of Camp Hill, passed away on Saturday November 21, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born on November 17, 1925 in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Leo T. and Pauline (Schmidt) English and she was the widow of Samuel S. Chambers, Sr.
She was a graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School in Harrisburg. Frances started her career with Bell Telephone and went on to Retire from Commercial Union Insurance Company. She and her husband were long time members of St. Theresa's Church, New Cumberland. She had also attended the Holy Name Catholic Church, Harrisburg. She was in a Bowling League, Card Club, enjoyed reading, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by two sons, Samuel S. Chambers, Jr. and his wife Kathryn, of Mechanicsburg, and Thomas M. Chambers, of Conestoga, a daughter, Janice M. Taylor and her husband Kevin, of Camp Hill, seven grandchildren, Samuel and his wife Ashley, Benjamin, Jessica and her husband Giavani, Christopher and his wife Kimberly, Colby, Lindsay, Jamison and his wife Heather, and twelve great grandchildren, Matthew, Tyler, Mikayla, Reese, Shaye, Brinn, Aiden, Kamyrn, Averi, Delaney, Miranda, and Francesca, and she is also survived by J. Charles Forney, of Harrisburg.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday November 27, 2015 at St. Theresa's Church, 1300 Bridge St., New Cumberland, with Rev. Michael J. McFadden as Celebrant. Burial will be held immediately following the mass in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill. Myers-Harner Funeral & Cremation Services, Camp Hill, is handling funeral services.
